More Primas Have Arrived!

I got a shipment of new Prima product in the store on Friday. I couldn't wait to get some out to play with. Here's a two page layout I've been working on for about a week. I finally finished this afternoon, thanks to those beautiful Primas.
It didn't photograph as well as I would have liked it to but I couldn't take the picture outside today because of the super gust of winds. Maybe I'll be able to get a better photo tomorrow. If you click on the picture it will enlarge it.
The details are pretty long so stick with me ;)
The background paper is DCWV Nana's Kitchen, the photo mats are DCWV Sweet Stack cut out with my Cricut and SCAL scalloped ovals. The title is Prima Signs of Spring cut on my Cricut with SCAL "Missed Your Exit" font (I also used that font for the computer printed journaling) The cute little tea set was cut on my Cricut with the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge, I shaded the edges with Pebbles pastel pink chalk and stamped the flower pattern on the larger pieces, then I attached them with pop dots for more dimension. The flowers and leaves are Prima. For the centers of the flowers I used both Dew Drops (island blossom) and the Prima Pearls and Crystals collection(light pink).
Click on the highlighted words for direct links to those products in the store. If you'd like to brows our new Prima products and all the other great goodies visit Your Memories Here. I almost forgot to mention, ANY purchase over $50 gets you free shipping in my store!

Pretty and Usefull

I love those kind of projects. You get more bang for your buck! Lisa made a box to hold her embossing folders for her Cuttlebug, and then she dressed it up with some Prima flowers and Pebbles ribbon. Did I mention she used some of her embossing folders on it as well?

If you'd like to see the details and more pictures of Lisa's project visit her blog.
The Prima flowers Pebbles ribbon and Cuttlebug embossing folders can be purchased at Your Memories Here.

Sharing Memories

Sandy made this wonderful heritage page full of old memories.
Sandy's black and white photo is accented by an inked photo mat. She used the Pebbles Fancy Frills and Flourishes stencils for the designs. Sandy used her Cricut to cut out some of the shapes (the complete list is on her blog). I can only imagine how thick Sandy's albums must be with all her pages layered in beautiful embellishments. For more details about how Sandy created this page visit her blog. To get some of those fabulous Pebbles stencils and necessities for your Cricut visit Your Memories Here.

Embossed Beauties

That's what these cards are. First is Brenda's. She is back in her card making groove with this one!
Brenda used her Cuttlebug and the Birds and Swirls folder to emboss this card. She also used her Cricut with the Home Decor cartridge to make the bird cuts and the beautiful little flowers are from the Prima Bitty bag. You can catch all the details on Brenda's blog.

This creative creation is by Leah.

All those beautiful layers, they're mesmerizing. Leah used multiple embossing folders on this card and boy doesn't it add amazing depth? She embossed the side with the Cuttlebug Organic Flourishes folder and used the Damask Frame set to emboss the dark pink layer. Leah also added a few dew drops to accent the stamped image. For more details on Leah's card you can visit her blog.
By clicking on any of the high lighted words, it will take you to their product page in the store.

Weekend Give Away

I'm not going to be able to post this weekend because I'll be so busy with my daughters' birthday party (Marlee turned 4 on Monday, Lilee will be 2 on Sunday) I've got family coming to stay with us from out of town, so it would be rude to hang out on my computer while they're here.
So, in lieu of posts I'm offering some goodies to our followers. All you have to do is be a follower to be eligible. If you'd like to post a comment to any of the DT's projects you're welcome to and if you'd like to spread the word about the give away even better!
Here's what I'm offering up:
Since I'm always going on and on about the DCWV stacks that I use for just about every project I'm including an 8x8 Once Upon a Time Premium stack, one of my favorite products - Stickles and a K&CO naked tag pad just for good measure. That's enough stuff to get you going on a project, right?
While none of these items are sold in my store I do have plenty of products in store that would complement them nicely :)

NOT a Halloween Project

Let's take a little break from Halloween for a couple of posts.
Here is a Christmas layout by Samantha featuring one adorable little reindeer!
Samantha's layout is being published so her project photo is temporarily removed. Way to go Samantha :)

I just love how Samantha used non-traditional Christmas colors for this page. However, snowflakes, glitter and reindeer definitely say Christmas. Samantha altered some Chatterbox wood frames with Ranger crackle paint to make them match the colors of her layout (which is a great idea since they come 5 to a pack in assorted colors) She also embellished the frames and her page with some Prima flowers from the Bitty bag. If you'd like more details on Samantha's page visit her blog.

A little more info about those Chatterbox wood frames, they're acid free (safe for scrapbooks) totally alterable (as seen here) and on CLEARANCE at Your Memories Here. I like to adhere my wood frames and tags with glue dots, but I've also used my ATG on them. The Prima flower Bitty bags are available too and with over 200 flowers per bag you can embellish a lot of pages and cards.

Another Halloween Card

Sick of the Halloween projects yet? I hope not because it's only September 17th, so there's plenty more to come ;)

This card was so fun and easy to make thanks to a sketch over at From C to Shining C. All the dimension were listed on the sketch so it went together real quickly. The hardest part was deciding what papers to use. The stamp choice was easy! I just love this Hallowhimsy candy stamp from Imaginisce. You can color it however you want, which makes it versatile for any color scheme or even other occasions (you're not limited to Halloween). I used the DCWV Fall stack for the patterned papers on this, but could easily change it up for a birthday card.
If you'd like to add this stamp to your collection you can get it at Your Memories Here for only $0.75!

Bubbles Page

Here's a layout I did last week. The photos have been sitting in my scrap room for over a year waiting to become a page. A cut from the new Every Day Paper Dolls got the ball rolling on this layout.

I cut the bubbles behind the title with the EDPD cartridge on my Cricut. I also cut the word "Bubbles" using SCAL and my Cricut. I used vellum for the bubbles (which you need a good sharp blade to keep it from tearing) and then colored the bubbles with Pebbles Pearlescent Shimmer chalk to give it that iridescent look that soap bubbles have. I also chalked the photo mats for the same color effect. I used assorted dew drops (orchid, lily pad, island blossom) for the little bubbles. I usually glue my dew drops on with Aleen's tacky glue because it holds good and dries completely clear. When I don't have time to wait for glue to dry (you know those last minute cards) I use glue dots to adhere them. On the unmatted photo, I attached a clip that says "cherish" from my ATB clips and clipper inspirational words set. You can catch all the details of this page by visiting my blog and you can get the dew drops, chalk sets and ATB clip and clippers in my store Your Memories Here.com

The Colors of Halloween

For this page Karli used all the wonderful colors of Halloween.

To accent that great photo of Karli and one of her boys, she used some dew drops, the Imaginisce Haunted House stamp, Prima flowers and her Cricut. If you click on the photo you can see all the sparkle from the glittered edges too. For more details on Karli's page visit her blog. If you'd like to get some of these Halloween goodies (the stamp, dew drops and Primas) visit Your Memories Here.com

Elegant, Embossed and Easy

That's right, this card is a triple E. Leah made this card in only 10 minutes, no kidding. Is she a card making genius? you ask. Yes, but you don't have to be to make a card like this one with the help of a new Cuttlebug combo folder.

The Damask Frame combo set helped Leah whip this card up in no time. Just cut, emboss, adhere and done! Leah took it a little farther with some dew drops, inking and a stamped sentiment. You can catch all the details on Leah's blog and you can pick up the Damask Frame Cuttlebug combo set at Your Memories Here, along with the dew drops too.

2 Cute 2 Be Spooky

Halloween is just around the bend, here's a couple of cards by Samantha to spook some ideas.
Samantha used the Haunted House stamp by Imaginisce for both cards. It's nice to see a couple of different ways you can use your stamps. She also added some purple ribbon by Pebbles.
On this card, Samantha used her Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background and the same Haunted House stamp and purple Pebbles ribbon. She "illuminated" the windows on this house with some gold glitter. If you'd like to see more of Samantha's work check out her blog (clicking her name will take you there).
You can get the Imaginsce stamps at Your Memories Here for only $0.75! You will also find the Pebbles ribbon and an assortment of Cuttlebug folders too.

A Sweet Thank You

Summer's not over yet. The weather is still warm in most parts of the country so there is still time to enjoy a Popsicle. Like the ones Lisa used to make this thank you card.
Lisa stamped and colored the Popsicle from Imaginisce and then added a little sparkle with some stickles. She accented the image with some darling little Primas from the Bitty Bag and tied it up with a Pebbles ribbon. You can find more details about this card on Lisa's blog (clicking here name will take you there)

They're Here!

The FedEx guy brought me the NEW Cuttlebug Embossing folders today (they were even a day early!) I've got them already listed in the store so go ahead and get some.
I had to make a something with one right away so here's a card using one of the Pop Culture embossing borders (they come 5 to a set)
So the fabulous diamond embossing across the top was done with the Cuttlebug border, the pretty little flower is Prima and the center is a water color dew drop (I was so eager to post that I didn't even wait for the glue to dry!) The rest of the details about this card are available on my personal blog. You can get Primas, dew drops and Cuttlebug embossing folders (there's lots of them) at Your Memories Here

TGIF Give Away

I think every one loves Fridays, especially Fridays that kick off a 3 day weekend.

How About Another Layout?

I just love browsing scrapbook layouts for inspiration. This layout here by Linda is full of ideas you can use on any page.

She layered the tittle letters that were cut on her Cricut, which always looks great on a page. Linda adorned the corners of her photo mats with some Prima flowers (one of my favorite things to do) Linda also dress a mat with some Pebbles ribbon, with so many colors to choose from this would work with any theme. How cute is that little Chatterbox wood frame that emphasises the words "splish, splash"? You could even add a quote to one of those frames or the sentiment on a card! Linda has more pictures of this layout on her blog (just click her name to go there. The very versatile products used on this page can be found at Your Memories Here and guess what? Some of them are on clearance!!! No joke you can use the coupon code Big_Event to save another 10% off those prices too.

Something to Inspire You

These beautiful projects were both made by Leah. Her layout reminds us that we should scrap those special moments that happen in our day to day lives not just the big events.
Leah used her Cricut to cut the circle mat behind the photo, the title words and the butterfly. She also embossed that butterfly with her Cuttlebug Swiss dots embossing folder. You can get all the details about her layout by clicking Leah's name (it will take you to her blog)
This card made by Leah tells us to Seek Joy Each Day, which I couldn't agree with more. The beautiful layered papers and stamped images compliment the sentiment nicely. The trees are stamped with the Imaginisce Tree Snag 'em stamp which you can get at Your Memories Here for only $1. I bet you could think of more ways to use that stamp and stretch your dollar even further! Oh yeah, you can also get another 10% off with coupon code Big_Event maybe you might want to buy a few?

Big News!!

With the holiday weekend coming up (Labor day in the U.S.), most of us will have a long weekend, more time for crafting , Right? So while you're blog hopping this weekend spread the word about our new blog Your Memories Here Designs. If we can get 200 followers by September 8th, Your Memories Here will give away a Cricut cartridge! Each and EVERY follower will be entered in this drawing. So spread the word. The more people you can get to follow the better!

Teacher Gifts

I made these altered tin lunch boxes for my daughter's pre-school teachers (she has 2). Each box has a set of note cards and a note pad inside.

I decorated the outside of the tins with patterned paper (the purple is DCWV and the red and black is Paper Studio) Then I embellished them with Stickles, glitter glue, Prima flowers, Dew Drops and rhinestones. They have a lot of sparkle (click on the photos for a better view). For the note cards I used the Cuttlebug embossing folders and embossing borders first, then added either some patterned paper with embellishments or some Prima flowers and Dew drops. I made the note pads with the Bind-it-All and 1/2" O wires, I used some chip board covered in patterned paper, and decorated them with Prima flowers and Dew Drops.
By the way, a little secret, I don't have a Cuttlebug! (gasp, I know) I have the ooold red Sizzix machine with the converter attachment and just run my Cuttlebug dies through it. So, If you don't have a Cuttlebug, you can still use these great embossing folders, they work in most machines with some sort of adapter.
You will find Cuttlebug embossing folders, Bind-it-All supplies, Prima flowers and Dew Drops at www.yourmemorieshere.com and you can get them for less with the 10% off coupon code Big_Event .
After writing this I thought * gee, I should have referred to myself in the 3rd person since that's how I write all the other posts. But that was too weird for me so for every "I" or "me" you can replace it with Kristina :)
Please stop back later, I'll be posting the next give away for this week!

Brenda has taken her Bind-it-All to new depths. This remarkable album was made out of a bamboo mat! That's right, Brenda punched right through the mat with her Bind-it-All.
Then of course, Brenda created some fantastic pages inside the album. She used her Cricut for the cuts and embellished some of the pages with Prima flowers and Dew Drop accents.
You can see more of Brenda's album and pages by clicking on her name (it will take you to her blog) You can grab some supplies by visiting http://www.yourmemorieshere.com/ we carry Bind-it-All machines, tools and wires plus the Prima flowers and Dew Drop accents she used here. This next project that Karli made is a tree card holder to hold those special handmade cards or pictures you receive at Holiday time. Isn't that a great idea? Karli used the Pebbles clips to hold the cards & added the Pebbles ribbon for trim & the bows all around. Her cards attached to the tree is awesome too, don't you think?
