Let the Festivities Begin!

With Thanksgiving over it's time to get into full holiday mode. Christmas comes to mind first but I'm a big fan of blue and silver so Hanukkah isn't out of the question either ;) Whatever you're celebrating, we hope to inspire you to do some crafting (and shopping) this time of year.
My design team has been cranking out some fantastic projects lately and I can't wait to get them all posted so you can see them too. Here's a couple of cards made by the Scrapmaster herself, Samantha.

Here are two Christmas-y cards that Samantha made using the "Believe" snag'em stamp set. She used Tear Drops (two lips) for the centers of the poinsettias in the first one. For the second one she used a Christmas snapshot sticker and scrapbook wall paper (sitting room) to create the card.

So Very Blessed

Beautiful doesn't even come close to describing Leah's layout. She really went all out on this one. She used *Scrapbook Wall paper (Rosy nook) for her background, she cut her title on her Cricut with the storybook cartridge and the little bird too. Leah embossed her cuts with the Damask Cuttlebug folder then added some Dew Drops(golden berry) to further enhance those cuts. Leah used the Prima lace stamp and some pink ink for a very realistic (in my opinion)lace border under her photo. She also placed 3 bows made from Pebbles ribbon, and adorned them with Prima Hydrangeas (they come in a bunch of 40-45) below her photo. It such a pretty layout and by the photo you can see why she is "so very blessed".
*Scrapbook Wall paper packs are 6"x6" double sided papers of 4 different patterns on one side and solid colors on the other side, you get 16 sheets in a pack for only $1.25!
Just a reminder, you can save 20% off your purchase (even clearance items) with coupon code TURKEY until the end of the month at Your Memories Here.

Reading is FUN

For your viewing pleasure today is another lovely layout by Leah .

She's done some fantastic things with her Cricut cuts on this page. It may be obvious that the title and flourishes are cuts but did you know that so are the flowers!? They are layered cuts from the home decor cartridge. One of our other DT members, Sandy, also makes layered flowers from Cricut cuts and she has tutorials on her blog.

But back to Leah's pretty page. Her photos are matted on cardstock that has been embossed with the Cuttlebug swiss dots folder. Adorning Leah's title are a couple pairs of Dew Drops (silver bells or Golden berry, both mixes have the pearl colors). I hope you've been inspired to try some different techniques with your Cricut cuts today too.

An Everyday Card

Linda made this beautiful everyday card with some papers from the 6"x6" Scrapbook Walls pack (potting shed). Isn't that little butterfly just darling? It's a punch! and she blinged it up with a Tear Drop for the body. Those 6"x6" paper packs are the perfect size for creating cards and the colors in each pack coordinate together. Visit Your Memories Here to check out all the available 6x6 paper packs and for more details about Linda's card visit her blog.

Our Own Celebrity

Sandy was asked to be a guest designer over at Practical Scrappers this week. They have a great challenge on their blog every week and this week's was to use acrylic paint on your project.
Sandy made this beautiful page for her guest designer spot:
Sandy created that gorgeous flower with a leaf cut on her Cricut from the A Child's Year cartridge that she altered in DS and then painted with the acrylic paints. She attached them each with pop dots to make the flower and added a Prima to the center. There are other Primas scattered about her page and she changed the color of them to match her page with more acrylic paint! Sandy truly is a practical scrapper, using her supplies so creatively. If you want to learn more about Sandy's layout and techniques please visit her blog.
I wanted to share with you a little project I did for the challenge too. I altered a cookie sheet with acrylic paint and some patterned paper. I made magnets for it by gluing a Prima flower and Prima leaf to a large brad and then adhered it to a craft magnet. I altered the little Chatterbox wood frames with some acrylic paint to match and plan on putting some photos of my girls inside them. The little silver containers are magnetic backed tins that come with the Prima Mini Cans and are great for holding all sorts of embellies. The complete details of this project can be found on my blog.

It's Still Fall

With all the beautiful Christmas and winter cards and layouts being posted lately I wanted to put some Fall out there.
Here's a layout that I did recently but I still haven't gotten the photo of my daughters printed yet (sorry) I really wanted to get this posted because it qualifies for so many challenges and I didn't want to miss any deadlines. I promise to post this again on my personal blog complete with photos of the girls ;)
Click on the photo to make it larger
For my background I used papers from the DCWV fall stack (2008). The cardstock for the title is Bazzill and I embossed the yellow with my Cuttlebug Swiss Dots. The title was cut on my Cricut using Design Studio to weld together the words (opposites attract cartridge) and the leaves (doodle charms and stretch your imagination cartridges) Then I covered the leaves in various colors of Stickles and Studio G glitter glue. The cute colored droplets are Robin's Nest Tear Drops (sea glass and sun kissed)
The blue background for my photo mat is a kinda shimmery mica paper that I got at HL (sorry I don't know the brand name) I cut it on my Cricut with SCAL you could also use DS or Gypsy and George by welding a bracket to the side of a square. The gorgeous flowers are Prima (assorted sets) and the centers of the flowers are Dew Drops (sunflowers and primary). The little leaves with the flowers are a Studio G fall stamp I made by stamping green onto orange cardstock and then cut out. The other flowers on the corners of the mat are Prima Fall Leaves.
Here's my first attempt at coloring with my new ShinHan Touch markers. They are comparable to Copics (so I've been told, I've never used Copics) but they are less expensive. I'm hoping Santa will bring me some more ;) The image is a Digi download I bought at Lily-Boo's and the "Bushels of Blessings" is a Studio G stamp I added because I tuned this into a pocket to hold some tags I cut on my Cricut with George and basic shapes cartridge at 2.25"
I stamped each one with Studio G month stamps and then wrote on the back of each the blessed events of that month (Ex. Both of my daughter's birthdays are in September) I dressed each tag up with a copper metallic eyelet.
Sorry this was such a loooong post but there were so many details to cover. Hope I didn't leave anything out.

Gramma's Are Antique Little Girls

Doesn't that title just make you grin ? I'm laughing mostly because I know my mom would throw a fit if I called her an "antique". Heck she isn't even 50 yet! But those cute little gray haired sweeties that we all think of when someone mentions Grandma, Nana, Grammy, yep those are antique little girls for sure.
Well, here's Sandy's layout with her cute title.

Aren't these colors just beautiful? Sandy made this page featuring her Grandma as a child. The accent cuts were made on her Cricut with the Indie Art, Home Decor and Storybook cartridges. She jazzed up her cuts with some pearl paint and Stickles.

How 'bout that stunning bunch of hydrangeas? They are Prima and available at Your Memories Here for only $2.50! They come 40-45 petals to a bunch. You can use them individually or grouped together like Sandy did here.

She also used a Prima Obsessions embossed flower in that fantastic bright pink. Theses come approx 48 petals to a package and in an assortment of sizes and colors. You may have noticed there are additional Primas scattered about her page, we've got quite an assortment of Primas at Your Memories Here.
Please visit Sandy's blog for all the wonderful details about her layout.

Ready for Some Snow?

Some of you have already had your first snowfall this season and some will probably not ever see any snow. Well, here in central Ohio we haven't got any yet (thank God) but it's sure to come sometime this month.
This layout by Leah has got me ready to scrap a page as soon as it comes ;)

Leah has used some unexpected items to convey her wintry picture. She used the Prima Lace stamp and stamped a border in blue ink then cut it out and added to the bottom of each photo to look like beautiful icicles. What a great idea and a fantastic way to get more use out of your stamps! Leah used her Cricut to cut out the title words with Plantin School Book and the Opposites Attract cartridges. She used a Tear Drop to dot the i in the word first.
Go take another look at your crafting supplies and see what new uses you can come up with. If you want to give some of these goodies featured here a try you can get them all at Your Memories Here. You can save 20% off if you use coupon code TURKEY at checkout. And of course, shipping is FREE for orders over $50 to the U.S.

Layered Layout

Here's a fun and fabulous layout by Leah.

She's got some great layers going on here. Leah cut out her title and little snails on the Cricut and then embossed em' with the Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder. She added some dew drops across the top and bottom borders (kinda looks like bubbles) Don't you just love how she stitched her photos on the mats? and the buttons, I just love buttons. You can catch more of Leah's creations on her blog. You can grab some dew drops at Your Memories Here along with Cricut essentials and Cuttlebug folders too.

A Different Thankful Card

Samantha made this beautiful "Thank You" card. It's not a Thanksgiving thanks, just an all purpose thank you, I don't know about you all but I'm always making tons of thank you cards. I guess I get a lot of help from others :)
For her card, Samantha used a Challerbox wood frame and threaded some Pebbles ribbon behind it. Then she made it bloom with some layered Prima flowers from the Bitty Bag.
*FYI the Chatterbox wood frames and Pebbles ribbon are less than $2.00 at Your Memories Here!

Seasonal Cards

Since November gives us two seasons Linda has provided two cards for you today, one for each season.
First is the Fall card.
Linda made this dazzling card using her Cuttlebug and Birds and Swirls embossing folder and her Cricut to cut the leaves with the Doodle Charms cartridge. The DCWV Indian Summer paper is just the perfect colors for an Autumn card. Linda also added a couple of Dew Drops, don't they add an interesting dimension to her card?
Next is the Winter card.

Isn't this little snowman so frosty and sweet? Linda used her Cuttlebug again with the Snowflake embossing folder to create the background. She did some tearing around her stamped image and then glittered it. I think it helps to bring your focus to that stamped snowman.
All the details about both of Linda's cards can be found on her blog.

The Layouts Keep Coming

This beautiful layout is by Brenda and it features Brenda as a baby! Say it with me, AWW how cute?
Brenda used her Cricut to make title and some of the other paper pieced items. She did a beautiful job embellishing her photo with lace, crystal and flowers(some of which are Prima) You can read all about her page and including the details of how she made it on Brenda's blog.
Be sure to check back tomorrow I'll be showing off some of the Design team's cards!
